Operator terminals fail in ways that stop production without breaking anything else: a dead backlight, a delaminated touchscreen, a failed compact flash card. Replacement is usually faster and cheaper than repair.

Match the catalogue number exactly

PanelView Plus part numbers encode display size, input type, memory, communication and power. A terminal that differs in any of those will not simply drop in, even if the screen size matches.

PanelView Plus 6 and Plus 7 also differ in the runtime version they accept, so the application file from an older terminal may need converting. We state the terminal revision and firmware so you know what you are dealing with before it arrives.

What we check

Every terminal is powered up and checked for display condition, backlight brightness, touch calibration across the whole screen and clean boot. Burned-in pixels and screen wear are photographed rather than described vaguely.

Where a terminal holds an application from its previous owner, we clear it before despatch.

Will my existing application load onto a used terminal?

Usually, provided the runtime version matches. Tell us your FactoryTalk View version and terminal revision and we will confirm.

Are touchscreens repairable?

Sometimes, but on used terminals replacement is generally cheaper and faster. We only list terminals whose touch is fully functional.

Do you clear the previous owner's application?

Yes, every terminal is cleared before despatch.
