Modular systems must be matched

The RaySafe X2 is a base unit plus sensors — R/F, MAM, CT, Dent, Light and Survey. A sensor without a compatible base is unusable, and buying one expecting the other to be easy to find is a common and costly error.

We state exactly which base and sensor combination a listing includes, and can complete a system you already part-own.

Sources and shipping

Some survey meters and dosimetry instruments ship with radioactive check sources, which carry transport and import requirements that vary by jurisdiction. We confirm before accepting an order whether a source is included and who handles the paperwork.

Calibration for this class of instrument should be accredited, and we state certificate status explicitly rather than implying it.

Common questions

Can I buy an X2 sensor on its own?

Yes, if you already have a compatible base unit. Tell us your base serial and we will confirm compatibility.

Is the older RaySafe Xi still useful?

Yes, and it is considerably cheaper. It covers the same modalities with lower resolution and an older software stack.

Do survey meters need annual calibration?

Most radiation safety programmes require it. We can supply with current accredited calibration.
