Defibrillator analyzers measure delivered energy, charge time and waveform, and pacer analyzers verify rate, output and sensitivity. Both are annual-inspection equipment for any department maintaining resuscitation devices.

Defibrillator and pacer together or separately

The Impulse 7000DP accepts the 7010 pacer module, covering both defibrillator and transcutaneous pacer testing from one instrument. The 6000D covers defibrillators only.

If you service AEDs and manual defibrillators but no external pacers, the 6000D is the sensible purchase.

Adapters decide usability

Paddle adapters and hands-free adapters are specific to the defibrillator brands you service. An analyzer supplied without the adapters for your fleet cannot be used on it.

Common questions

Do these work with biphasic defibrillators?

Yes. Current analyzers measure monophasic, biphasic and pulsed biphasic waveforms.

Is the QED 6 still viable?

For basic energy verification, yes, and it is considerably cheaper. It lacks the automation and waveform capture of the Impulse series.

Can I add the pacer module later?

Yes, the Impulse 7010 is a separate module that fits the 7000DP.
