Incubator and radiant warmer testing
The INCU II tests to IEC 60601-2-19, -2-20 and -2-21 using five temperature sensors plus airflow, humidity and sound measurement. Sound level matters more than people expect — noise limits in neonatal care are strictly specified.
Sensor pods are the item to check. All five must be present and functional, and they are model-specific.
NIBP simulation
A BP Pump 2 simulates dynamic blood pressure envelopes from multiple manufacturers, plus static pressure, leak and relief valve testing. Cuffs, T-fittings and hoses are consumable and frequently missing.
The ProSim 8 also includes NIBP simulation, so departments buying one may not need the other.
Common questions
Do I need a dedicated NIBP simulator?
Not if you already have a ProSim 8. A dedicated unit gives faster throughput and more manufacturer envelopes.
Are incubator sensor pods available separately?
Sometimes. Confirm all five are present before purchase, as replacements are not always in stock.
